Did you know? On the third Friday of each month, New Frontiers donates 5% of sales to a local nonprofit.
The date for June 2026 is Friday the 19th, and the recipient is Veggie Rescue.
Veggie Rescue uses a simple logistics model to pick up excess food that would go to waste and deliver it to nonprofit organizations that serve our neighbors facing food insecurity.
In late 2010, a small group of volunteers, armed with a pickup truck, visited a handful of farmers willing to open their fields. They filled the first boxes of rescued fruits and vegetables and delivered them to the local senior center. Today they work with over 100 farmers, businesses, and recipient organizations. They now deliver more than 675,000 pounds of food each year!
Representatives from Veggie Rescue will be here on Friday, June 19th to discuss the beneficial work they do for our community.
