Cajun Turkey Burgers with Spicy Sweet Potato Fries

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb. ground turkey
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped bell pepper
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp. Tabasco sauce
  • 2 tsp. blackening spice
  • 2 tsp. Cajun Seasoning blend
  • 1 tsp. salt

Mix all ingredients together, divide into four equal parts and form into patties. Cook patties in lightly oiled skillet over medium heat until cooked through, about 6-7 minutes per side. Serve burgers on whole grain buns with spicy sauce, lettuce and sliced ripe tomato. For extra zing, add a slice of pepper-jack cheese. Spicy Sweet Potato Fries: Spread 1 15-oz. package Alexia Sweet Potato Fries in a single layer on a lightly oiled baking sheet. Sprinkle with 2 tsp. blackening spice. Bake at 425 degrees for 15 minutes, until fries are lightly browned. Serve with Spicy Sauce. Spicy Sauce: Mix together 1/3 cup each mayonnaise, ketchup and barbecue sauce. Add several drops Tabasco and mix well.
