Apple CrispIngredients:

  • 8 medium-sized crisp tart apples, peeled, cored and sliced
  • 2 tablespoons flour (or gluten-free flour blend)
  • 2 teaspoons lemon juice
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 3/4 teaspoon cinnamon

Topping:

  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter, melted
  • 1 cup flour (or gluten-free flour blend)
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 cup rolled oats (not instant)

Preheat oven to 375°. In a large bowl toss together apples, flour, lemon juice, sugar and cinnamon until well mixed. Pour into a buttered 8-inch square pan. In a medium bowl, mix all topping ingredients together until crumbly. Sprinkle topping over apples. Bake for 45-60 minutes, until filling is bubbly and topping is golden brown. Delicious served warm with vanilla ice cream.
